The Conway s Public Utilities Department plans and reviews new projects, such as water and sewer system extensions. The department employs a staff of more than 25 employees. It offers water meter testing and upgrading services. The Conway s Public Utilities Department s maintenance and construction division installs residential pump stations and replaces and repairs fire hydrants. The department maintains a utility operations division that is responsible for the operation of the water distribution and sanitary sewer collection and transmission systems. The Conway s Public Utilities Department also has a vehicle maintenance division that operates a fleet of over 270 vehicles, including heavy equipment and small engines.
