Established in 1940, Little River Electric Cooperative Inc. is a member-owned rural electric cooperative in Upstate South Carolina. The company offers a range of services, such as outdoor lighting agreement and Blue Ridge security systems. The security systems guard against burglars, fire and other emergencies. Additionally, it provides service to more than 13,000 residential and industrial consumers. The company is a member of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). Little River Electric Cooperative Inc. serves the consumers in Abbeville, Anderson, Greenwood, McCormick counties and Savannah Lakes Village Resort.
