Churches United in Ministry, formerly called Central Hillside United Ministry, is a nonprofit agency that provides a range of services for low-income individuals and families. Established in 1973, it offers various emergency food, shelter, advocacy, case management, housing stabilization and street outreach services. The agency maintains a drop-in center that provides services for homeless and low-income people with chemical dependency and mental health issues. Churches United in Ministry offers medical care, employment, clothing, nutrition and children s services through its food shelf program.
