Established in 1978, Seven Counties Services is a private, nonprofit organization that provides planning, prevention, treatment and support services. The organization operates as a community mental health center. Located in Louisville, Ky., it provides services related to the areas of alcohol, drug use and abuse and other developmental disabilities. It serves children, adults and senior citizens of all ages through community-based programs. Seven Counties Services employs more than 1,500 individuals who are assisted by over 600 volunteers. The organization is a member of the Better Business Bureau, Metro Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky Mental Health Coalition, and Mental Health Corporations of Americ
