BEK is a commercial and residential construction contractor that has been in business for more than 20 years. The firm specializes in light gauge metal framing, gypsum wallboard, plastering, acoustical ceilings, insulation and metal stud framing. Recently the company has done work on many different types of commercial projects including retail stores Circuit City, Neiman Marcus and JCPenney; hotels Hilton Hawaiian Village and the Maui International Hotel; and hospitals the Liliha Medical Center and the Kuakini Physician's Tower. BEK is a signatory of the following unions: Local 745 Carpenters, Local 1944 Tapers and Local 630 Masons/Plasterers and employs between 50 and 120 laborers at any given time.
