The Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, founded in 1952, is a wholesale electric power supplier that is owned by more than 40 cooperatives. The association generates and transports electricity to members in Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico and Wyoming. It covers a service territory of over 250,000 square miles.
