Precision Electric Co., Inc, was founded January, 1946 by Virgil W. Dake. As a troubleshooter for one of Arizona's largest cotton seed oil mills, Virgil "fine tuned" his repair skills of heavy duty electrical and mechanical equipment. The entrepreneurial spirit in Virgil led to the establishment of Precision Electric where he repaired mechanical and electrical equipment.
The end of World War II in 1947 saw a large shortage of raw materials including copper. Electric motors were a scarce commodity when the City of Phoenix converted its electrical power system from 25 cycles to 60 cycles. Precision Electric served customer needs by rewinding motors to comply with the new power system. Precision Electric c
