Security Equipment Incorporated has become one of the largest locally owned security companies in the area. SEI is a full-service security firm offering all types of residential and commercial fire and intrusion alarm systems, U.L. central station monitoring services, closed circuit television, access control systems and much more. It serves more than 12,000 residential and commercial accounts in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. The company has an almost equal number of residential and commercial accounts, but commercial accounts make up nearly 75 percent of its revenue. Security Equipment was named one of the top 50 companies in its industry in the May 2000 issue of Security Distributing and Marketing magazine.
