Before entering the chiropractic profession I was a patient, so I understand the questions and concerns of my patients. I had a long history of neck and back pain from downhill and water skiing (my nickname in my junior high ski club was “crash”), pole vaulting, and other traumatic injuries (but no broken bones!). I went to a chiropractor when I couldn’t take it any longer (on my mom’s urging, thanks mom) and in one visit I received that “miracle” adjustment that relieved 90% of the pain I had been dealing with that year. From that moment on I was sold. Before becoming a chiropractor I worked as a marine scientist for the National Academy of Sciences, Congressional Research Service, NOAA, and the University of Miami. While at the
