Established in 1973, Waves is a nonprofit corporation that provides care and treatment services to people with mental and other developmental disabilities. It serves the communities of Franklin and Williamson counties in Tennessee. The corporation offers adult day care, early childhood education, vocational and employment services programs. Its residential and independent living program includes more than seven homes and over five apartments, as well as support services for nearly 25 individuals. Waves early childhood learning program provides play-based early learning, developmental assessment and treatment protocols for infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children.
